Media Advisory: FAO to release a report on women in Ontario’s labour market

FAO TO RELEASE A REPORT ON WOMEN IN ONTARIO’S LABOUR MARKET

TORONTO, May 15, 2023 – On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that examines the historical trends in labour market participation and outcomes for women in Ontario, assesses how women compare to men and estimates the potential impacts of $10 a day child care.

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. in the media studio at the Ontario Legislature. At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions.

Following the presentation, Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer (A), Jeffrey Novak, will make a statement and respond to media questions.
