Media Advisory: FAO to release report on Ontario spending through the first half of 2022-23

FAO TO RELEASE REPORT ON ONTARIO SPENDING THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF 2022-23

TORONTO, November 28, 2022 – On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that provides an update on the Province’s 2022-23 spending plan and reviews spending by the government over the first two quarters of the 2022-23 fiscal year (April 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022).   

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. in the media studio at the Ontario Legislature. At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.  

Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for “on-the-record” media questions immediately following the background briefing.
