Integrity Commissioner J. David Wake Appointed Temporary Financial Accountability Officer of Ontario

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

TORONTO, September 28, 2017 – The Honourable J. David Wake, Integrity Commissioner of Ontario, has been appointed Temporary Financial Accountability Officer of Ontario (FAO). He takes on this role, in addition to his existing duties.

“I look forward to working alongside the FAO management team and staff over the coming weeks to continue the important financial and economic analysis that has been the foundation of the FAO Office to date,” said Wake.

Commissioner Wake was appointed by Order in Council on September 27, 2017. The appointment is effective for up to six months. The search process for a new FAO is underway and Commissioner Wake will act in this interim capacity until a new FAO has been selected.
